- paper towels
- rubbing alcohol
- sandpaper
- sea sponge
- 1" painter's tape
- #1 liner brush
- #6 shader brush
- champagne flute
- palette knife
- 3/4" oval wash brush
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Clean champagne flutes thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and paper towels.
- Lay the glass on its side. Use an oval wash brush to apply Shimmering Silver (Metallic) to the stem of the flute. Rinse brush.
- Use a #6 shader brush and Glorious Gold (Metallic) to paint a stripe at the top and bottom of the stem. Rinse brush.
- Use painter's tape to tape about 3/4" the way down from the top of the glass, pressing the tape down with a fingertip.
- Place equal size puddles of Glorious Gold (Metallic) and White Crystal on the palette or plastic plate. Mix well with a palette knife.
- Take a small sea sponge and dampen it in the water container. Pounce it a few times on the palette or plastic plate and apply to the glass by lightly pouncing. (This gives the glass a nice transparent look.)
- Use a #1 liner brush and Black Gloss to paint on the words "Happy New Year" and "Celebrate". Rinse brush.
- Use a #6 shader brush and Shimmering Silver (Metallic) to paint the top edge of the Glorious Gold section. Paint a Shimmering Silver (Metallic) stripe below the rim of the flute. (Refer to photo for placement.)
- Allow to dry completely. Follow label instructions for bake times to make flutes dishwasher safe.
