Bright and Colorful Skull Placemat

Put a scare into your Halloween table with a bright and colorful skull placemat.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • ruler
    • pencil
    • #2 round brush
    • #10 flat brush
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • paper edger scissors
    • Fun Foam sheets

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use a pencil and ruler to measure 2” all the way around the fuchsia Fun Foam.
    2. Cut out the Fun Foam, using paper edger scissors.
    3. Glue the fuschia Fun Foam to the center of black Fun Foam using a hot glue gun.
    4. Trace and transfer the skull pattern to the fuchsia Fun Foam using a pencil and tracing and transfer papers.
    5. Outline everything, except the swirls in the skull, using a #2 round brush dipped in Lamp Black. Continue wetting the brush for fluidity.
    6. Use a #10 flat brush to paint the skull Snow White.
    7. Use a #10 flat brush to make the flower and nose, Orange; eye rings, teeth, dots on fuchsia Fun Foam, and head, Silver; mouth and diamonds, Fuchsia; flower eyes and dots around black border, Lime Green.
    8. Trace and transfer the swirls onto the skull.
    9. Outline the swirls in Lamp Black with a #2 round brush.
