Chalky Finish Succulent Containers

Chalky Finish Succulent Containers

I'm a lover of the bright, clean, white look.  So naturally, my kitchen is pure white with tiny pops of color.  I chose "vintage mint" as the accent color for my kitchen, think back to those old jadeite dishes from the 50's...that color.  Since finding accessories in that color isn't always easy, I usually end up painting most of my accents.  That's exactly what I did with three vintage pudding dishes I found to pot my succulents in (the only plant I can keep!).

Items Needed:

  • Glass Textured Bowls
  • Paint Brush
  • Water Basin

Instructions:

To arrive at the perfect shade of mint for my kitchen, I blended approx. 1/2 cup of Americana's Chalky Finish paint in Refreshing with a small splash of New Life.

Once I had the perfect color, I applied two coats of paint to my glass dishes, waiting an hour between coats.

After the paint was dry, I brushed in a sealer coat of Americana Décor's Soft Touch Varnish, this seals the paint and protects the finish from water!

Once my dishes were dry, I simply potted my succulents!
