Make chic and elegant table lamps for your home with Galaxy Glitter™.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- 1" painter's tape
- cosmetic sponge
- fan brush
- paintbrushes
- table lamps
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Fan brushes are ideal for applying Galaxy Glitter™.
Some steps may require several coats.
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Tape off the bottom third and entire bases of the lamps using painter's tape.
- Paint the area between the tape strips Oyster Beige.
- Remove the painter's tape. Mix Snow White with Oyster Beige to make a pale tan color. Using a cosmetic sponge, blend this color down into the Oyster Beige area. Continue to blend the color upward, gradually making the coverage more sparse until the top third of the lamps are left mostly bare, creating an ombre effect.
- Use a fan brush to apply Champagne Starburst to the entire Oyster Beige area, dragging the glitter upward over the pale tan area and using the glitter more sparingly to make an ombre effect.
- Apply Clear Comet to the lamps, first blending the glitter down into the Champagne Starburst and then dragging it up toward the bare section of the lamps, leaving some of the original surface exposed, to create a subtle ombre effect.
