    • pencil
    • baby wipes
    • paper
    • small round brush
    • high-tops

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Optional: Add colorful coordinating laces for an added fun touch. You can purchase a set of colored laces or paint a set using one of the SoSoft paint colors used to paint this project.

If you'd like, use an appropriately sized bottle cap to draw the sun rather than drawing freehand.

    1. Start by removing the laces from the shoes and adding balled-up paper or paper towels to the inside of the shoe to give it shape, making it easier to paint. Use a pencil to sketch the sun design on the outside of each shoe.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a small round brush to paint the sun's rays, starting with Baby Pink Deep. (Refer to the photo.)
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Continue painting the sun's rays all the way around, alternating colors in Cadmium Orange Hue, Dark Rose, and Primary Yellow. Rinse and dry the brush between paint colors. You'll want to apply two coats for good coverage, also letting dry between coats. Tip: If you get stray paint on the rubber part of the shoe, just use a baby wipe to clean it off.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Mix (1) part Yellow with (1) part White. Use a small round brush to apply this color to the middle of the sun.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Using the provided pattern as reference, use a small round brush to paint the sun's face in Cadmium Orange Hue, Dark Rose and Baby Pink Deep. Let dry.
    10. Instruction #5
