Father's Day Painted Toolbox

Repaint Dad's toolbox or paint him a new one with Americana Multi-Surface® Acrylics for a handy Father's Day gift.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- rubbing alcohol
- 1" flat brush
- #2 round brush
- pen
- toolbox
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Clean the metal toolbox with rubbing alcohol and paper towels.
- Use a 1" flat brush and Red Barn to basecoat the entire toolbox except the handle and locks. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.
- Use a pen and the tracing and transfer papers to trace and transfer all patterns where you want on the toolbox.
- Use a #2 round brush and School Bus to basecoat the handle on the hammer and the ruler. Rinse brush.
- Use the same brush and Blue Bird to paint the handle of the saw. Rinse brush. Use the same brush and Dolphin to basecoat all screws and bolts and the chain, saw, hammer, and screwdriver. Rinse brush.
- Use the same brush and Steel Grey to paint all nails and to shade all tools that were painted with Dolphin. Rinse brush.
- Use the same brush to outline everything and add details to the tools with Black Tie. Rinse brush.
- Let dry and fully cure before adding tools.
