Flowery Stenciled and Monogrammed Album

Get personal on a photo album with flowers and an initial with DecoArt® Stylin™.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • 1" painter's tape
    • cardstock
    • photo album
    • cotton swabs
    • paintbrushes

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Mix Purple and White together to make a deep lavender shade. Paint the entire album in this mix. Cut out a circle of cardstock or paper and place it in the center of the front panel. Secure with painter's tape.

    3. Mix Green with White and make a lighter shade. Secure the Jacobean Floral stencil to the front panel of the album cover. Using a cotton swab, fill in all stems and leaves with the green mix. Use Aqua for all open flowers. Use Turquoise for all folded flower bunches. Use Fuchsia for the center of the Aqua flowers and all sets of dots that are spread throughout. Use Orange for the large oval-shaped flower buds.

    5. Shift the stencil down and line it up. Repeat STEP TWO in the new area.

    7. Use Green to add simple strokes to the leaves and stems, adding a bit of a shadow/two tone effect. Use Turquoise to add three swipes on the fatter bottom part of each Aqua flower. Use Aqua to add three swipes on the fatter bottom part of each Turquoise flower bunch and highlights as well.

    9. Remove the circle from the front panel and paint a circular border in its place in Aqua, with a line of Turquoise on either side. Paint an initial of choice inside of the circle in Aqua, adding a shadow with Turquoise.
