Hang an initial in a frame decorated with leaves for a fresh fall wall accent.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• tracing paper
• transfer paper
• sandpaper
• scissors
• pencil
• #10 flat brush
• #12 flat brush
• #1 round brush
• floral wire
• wooden frame
• monogram letter

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Remove the paper and the backing from the wooden frame.

2. Use a #10 flat brush and Spiced Pumpkin to paint the outer border of the frame. Rinse brush.

3. Use the same brush and Deep Burgundy to paint the inner border of the frame. Rinse brush.

4. Use a #12 flat brush and Walnut Gel Stains to fill the remainder of the frame. Rinse brush.

5. Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace and transfer the leaf border pattern around the whole frame. Use sandpaper to lightly sand the Spiced Pumpkin and Deep Burgundy borders.
6. Use a #1 round brush and Sea Breeze to paint one half of the leaves on the top section. Rinse brush. Use the same brush to paint the other half of the leaves with Desert Turquoise. Rinse brush.

7. Use the same brush to paint the half of the leaves on the right border with Spiced Pumpkin. Rinse brush. Use the same brush and Burnt Orange to paint the other half of the leaves. Rinse brush.
8. For the left border, use a #1 round brush and Cadmium Yellow on half of the leaves. Rinse brush. Load the same brush with Marigold to paint the other half of the leaves. Rinse brush.

9. Use a #1 round brush and True Red to paint half of the leaves on the bottom border. Rinse brush. Load the same brush with Tuscan Red to paint the other half of the leaves. Rinse brush.

10. Use a #10 flat brush and Sea Breeze to paint the wooden initial letter. Rinse brush. Let completely dry. Wrap some florist wire around the letter and see how long you want it to hang from the frame. Use scissors to cut the wire.

11. Wrap the other end of the wire through the hanger part of the frame.
