Glow in the Dark Planters

Painted planters can serve a dual purpose by using our glow in the dark paint!

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • 4" terra cotta pot
    • rubber bands
    • 3/4" flat brush

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Multiple thin coats of Ultimate Glow in the Dark result in a more even glow.

    1. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint each entire pot in Cloud White. Let dry completely.

    3. Position the rubber bands around the pots as desired.

    5. Paint the bottom section of one pot in Tiger Lily Orange. Repeat this step using Fiesta Yellow on the second pot and Citrus Green on the third pot. Save all three colors on the palette for STEP 4.

    7. Mix enough Cloud White into the Tiger Lily Orange left on your palette to create a medium tone. Use the mix to paint center section. Repeat this step using Fiesta Yellow on the second pot and Citrus Green on the third pot. Save mixes for STEP FIVE.

    9. Mix more Cloud White into the medium mix on the palette to create a lighter shade of orange. Use this mix to paint top section. Repeat this step using Fiesta Yellow on the second pot and Citrus Green on the third pot. Let all dry completely.

    11. When dry, carefully remove the rubber bands. NOTE: If you do multiple coats, you may need to run a craft knife around the edges of the rubber band to achieve a clean edge.

    13. Apply Ultimate Glow in the Dark on top rims of the pots.
