SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- painter's tape
- 2" flat brush
- 1/2" flat brush
- leaves
- twine
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- To make a striped leaf, start by placing strips of painter's tape across the leaf, spacing them out evenly. (If using a real leaf, this will only last one season.)
- Paint between the tape in Teal.
- While the paint is still wet, remove the painter's tape.
- Between the stripes, paint Emerald or Black Ice.
- Experiment with different patterns and shapes on the leaves and also leave some solid-colored. (We used Copper, Dark Patina, Festive Green, and Emperor's Gold.)
- Coat both the front and back of the leaves with Americana Gloss Decou-Page.
- Cut a 4" piece of baker's twine and tie it around the stem of the leaf.
- Cut a piece of paper twine in the desired length of the garland. Tie leaves on the paper twine.
