Patterned Garden Sticks

How does your garden grow? Colorfully, with Americana® Gloss Enamels.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • sponge brush
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • fine/small brush
    • sponge
    • six wooden letters spelling "GARDEN"
    • six square wooden garden sticks
    • six ladybug buttons

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Remove the product label from the wooden letters and garden sticks before beginning project.

    Let dry after each painting step.

    1. Paint the garden stick squares Festive Green and then sponge all around with Bright Yellow and White.
    2. Paint the garden stick pokes Bright Yellow.
    3. Paint the letter G True Red.
    4. Paint the letter A White.
    5. Paint the letter R Bright Yellow.
    6. Paint the letter D Black.
    7. Paint the letter E White.
    8. Paint the letter N with a 1:1 mix of Bright Yellow and White.
    9. When dry, paint Black dots on the letter G.
    10. When dry, paint Festive Green stripes on the letter A.
    11. When dry, paint White flowers with True Red centers on the letter R.
    12. When dry, paint True Red dots on the letter D.
    13. When dry, paint True Red lines across and down to get plaid pattern on the letter E.
    14. When dry, paint Festive Green vines with leaves and True Red dots for berries on the letter N.
    15. (Optional) Paint little flowers on the Festive Green background and ladybugs on the letters A and D.
    16. When dry, seal with Americana Primer & Sealer.
    17. Glue ladybugs and wooden letters onto the garden sticks.
