SUPPLIES
- water container
- paper towels
- lace
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- circular household object (bowl or dinner plate)
- embellishments of choice
- bowl
- stiff bristle brush
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Cut a piece of lace. For a newborn crown, cut approximately 14" of lace; for a larger child, around 22" of lace. (The size of the mini crown will depend on the project, but this one is cut to 2" long.)
- Pour a small amount of Americana Fabric Stiffener into a bowl. Wet the lace pieces completely with Stiffener and squeeze out any excess.
- Wrap the lace pieces around a round object to form the crown shape. Let dry.
- When the lace has dried, use a stiff brush to work Rose Gold into the lace. Dab a small amount on the brush and use a circular motion to work it into all the details of the lace. Paint both sides and let dry.
- Use Rose Gold to paint embellishments of choice. (Wood or bisque works best for this.) Paint both sides and let dry.
- For additional durability, hot glue the ends of the crowns together.
