Stars & Stripes Snack Jar

Your little chicks will love getting summer snacks from this converted jar and chicken feeder-lid.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- 3/4" flat brush
- #0 liner brush
- #12 flat brush
- cosmetic sponge
- craft knife
- glass quart jar
- chicken feeder base
- 1" and 1/4" painter's tape
- star stencil
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Wash the jar in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry well before painting.
- Tape off three stripes on the jar with painter's tape as desired.
- Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the top stripe, True Blue; the middle stripe, Sand; and the bottom stripe, Tuscan Red. Repeat the paint application, if needed.
- Run a craft knife around the tape edges and remove the tape.
- Stencil or paint White stars around the True Blue stripe.
- Use a liner brush and White to paint the lettering.
- Use the handle end of a paintbrush to dot under the top stripe with True Blue and under the middle stripe with Sand.
- Paint the feeder base top True Blue.
- Allow the jar to air dry or follow paint label instructions for baking.
