These 8x8 stencils are made from durable paperboard for repeated use and clean lines.
Hold stencil in place or if you prefer secure with painter’s tape.
ALIGNING LETTERSTo ensure a stenciled word will be perfectly aligned, lightly draw a line using a pencil and ruler. Follow stencil registration marks to assure proper spacing between letters or numbers.Once paint is dry, erase any visible pencil marks.
PROPER BRUSH LOADINGLoad stencil brush or foam pouncer with paint. Be sure to blot excess paint off on a paper towel before application to prevent paint from seeping underneath the edges of the stencil. This will provide you with the crispest edges of your stencil design.
AFTER PAINT APPLICATIONImmediately peel stencil from surface to prevent paint from adhering to stencil.
STENCIL CAREWipe stencils with a paper towel as needed throughout the project to prevent paint from drying on stencil edges. This step will ensure clean, crisp edges from start to finish.
Allow basecoated surfaces to completely dry before stenciling.
STENCILING ON FABRICPlace a piece of freezer paper or wax paper between clothing to prevent paint from seeping to other side.
CREATING A REPEATING PATTERNWhen stenciling an overall background pattern or border, it is best to begin stenciling in the center of your surface and work out toward the edges. This will ensure that you end up with an even design that is centered and symmetrical. Remove the stencil from the painted area and allow paint to dry. Continue with your pattern by marking the registration marks with a pencil and continue with your pattern.
USING TEXTURE PRODUCTSWhen using texture products with stencil apply with a palette knife in smooth sweeping motions. Remove stencil immediately.
FOR HEAVIER COVERAGEApply two thin coats instead of one thick coat. Allow to dry between coats.
SEAMLESS LETTERINGFor a non-stenciled look, connect the bridges when finished stenciling with a small paint brush. Connect the pieces of the letter. This will give your lettering a seamless look.

Delivery of items offered in our online store is limited to an address in the United States including U.S. territories, Alaska, and Hawaii. Shipments cannot be delivered to PO Boxes.
