Recycle an old pair of jeans into a hip message center for school or home with Americana® Chalkboard Paint.

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • chalk
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • 8" x 10" canvas
    • old pair of blue jeans
    • adhesive magnet strips

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use the 3/4" flat brush to cover the canvas with Chalkboard Paint. (Repeat as needed.)
    2. Use scissors to cut one back pocket from a pair of jeans. (Remember to include the backing of the pocket so it can still be used as a pocket.)
    3. Use a hot glue gun around edges of the pocket and adhere it to one of the bottom corners the canvas.
    4. Attach the adhesive magnet strips to the canvas back.
    5. Place spare chalk in pocket.
