Downton Abbey Inspired Striped Recipe Box

Store your cherished recipes in this striped and stenciled Downton Abbey inspired recipe box.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- paper towels
- stylus or pencil
- tracing paper
- sandpaper
- ruler
- #2 round brush
- 1" painter's tape
- cosmetic sponge
- 3/8" flat brush
- knob
- recipe box
INSTRUCTIONS
- Measure off 1/2 inch stripes around the bottom of the recipe box using the pencil and ruler.
- Fill in half of the stripes using Lace and the 3/8" flat brush.
- Fill in the other half of the stripes using Timeless and the 3/8" flat brush.
- Paint the top of the box with Relic using the 3/4" flat brush.
- Place stencil on top of the box and hold with painter's tape.
- Using the cosmetic sponge and Lace, stamp the paint lightly over the stencil. Remove the stencil.
- Print out the pattern that says "Recipes" and trace with a pencil and tracing paper. Cut out the traced word and scribble all over the back with a pencil.
- Place the word where you want it and secure with painter's tape. Trace over the word with a sharp pencil. Take off the tracing and fill in the word with Relic and the #2 round brush.
- Distress the box and top using sandpaper paying extra attention to edges.
- Screw the knob into the hole of the top of the box.
