Bring writing to life by painting flowers out of a typewrite with DecoArt Premium Tube Acrylics paint!

SUPPLIES

    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #8 flat brush
    • #1 liner brush
    • #1 round brush
    • 11" x 14" canvas

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. First use a pencil to trace and transfer the typewriter only of that pattern.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a large flat brush to loosely paint Primary Magenta and Titanium White in vertical strokes to fill the background completely.

    5. Use a small flat brush to mix (3)parts Titan Buff with (1)part Cobalt Teal Hue and fill in the outer typewriter. Use a round brush to mix (1)part Titan Buff with a very small amount of carbon black and a little water. Use to fill in around the keys, the line space lever, paper release lever, paper guide, and paper bail, ribbon control, and tabular set and clear key with the round brush. Use the flat brush to shade under the typewriter with same dark grey mix.
    6. Then use a round brush with Titan Buff to paint the keys, right platen knob and paper guides. Then use liner brush with Titanium White for the top of keys and line space lever.

    8. Use a pencil or pen to trace and transfer the stem and flowers from the pattern.
    9. Use the liner brush and round brush with: Green Gold, Raw Sienna, and Phthalo Green-Yellow, Titan Buff to paint to paint on the different stems.

    11. Use round and liner brushes to paint on the flowers using: Vermillion, Primary Magenta, Raw Sienna, Diarylide Yellow, amd Dioxazine Purple.
