    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • 1" flat brush
    • 1/2" flat brush
    • cardboard
    • old book pages
    • lace
    • paper
    • tissue paper
    • glue
    • pen
    • wooden plaque
    • 3D flowers
    • newspaper

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Begin by putting a coat of Bittersweet on the entire wooden plaque using a 1” flat brush.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Glue pieces of newspaper onto the entire bottom of surface. (This doesn’t have to be perfect; make occasional wrinkles and tears.)
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Coat the surface in Almond. Let dry. Apply a thin coat of Sea Glass, allowing some of the Almond to show through. (Water down the paint if necessary to achieve the look.)
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Lay out the 3D flowers in the arrangement. (Do NOT glue down. This is only for you to create a layout for the piece.)
    8. Tear two long, narrow pieces of cardboard, exposing the corrugation inside. Cut the cardboard to fit surface and layer accordingly (taking into account the layout of the flowers). Paint the cardboard Pistachio Mint. Let dry. Paint a thin layer of Hauser Medium Green, leaving the bottom color partially exposed. Set aside.
    9. Instruction #5
    10. Cut a small piece of lace to fit surface, pull end to make a more distressed look. Paint the lace Winter Blue. Let dry. Do a thin layer of Almond in scattered areas. Set aside.
    11. Instruction #6
    12. Mark where the flowers are currently placed. (This is where the stems will begin.) Set flowers aside. Paint the stems of flowers onto surface, first using Hauser Medium Green. While this is wet, do small areas of Bittersweet. Let dry.
    13. Instruction #7
    14. Using the Festive Green 3D opaque writer, apply small amounts to the stems for dimension.
    15. Instruction #8
    16. While stems are drying, paint the 3-dimensional flowers using a ½” brush. Paint flowers in Buff Beige, Peach Silk, Almond, and Flesh Tone as you like. Apply two coats if needed.
    17. Instruction #9
    18. After all pieces are dry, assemble. Glue down lace, cardboard, and flowers.
    19. Tear a small strip of brown paper. Crumple to add texture. Brush on watered down Bittersweet to create distressed look.
    20. Instruction #11
    21. Touch up the surface border with Bittersweet as needed.
    22. Using a pen or marker, write “blossom” in loose cursive on the brown paper strip. Glue down.
    23. Instruction #13
