Alphabet Tote in Blues and Blacks

Make fun tote bags for teachers or kids using the alphabet with Americana Multi Surface Satins and stencils!

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • wax paper or freezer paper
    • cosmetic sponge
    • burlap tote bag

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Remove any tags from tote bag. Use scissors to cut a piece of wax or freezer paper to put inside the bag to prevent paint from going through.

    3. Use a 3/4" Flat brush load separately with Americana Multi- Surface Satin colors; Deep Turquoise, Coastal Waters, and True Blue. To loosely and randomly add color and blend all into each other while wet. It will almost give you a watercolor effect but with bold color.

    5. Use same brush and Black Tie to paint the border around the bag. Let dry completely.

    7. Place "From A to Z" Stencil in the blue area. Load a cosmetic sponge with Black Tie and pounce until the whole stencil is filled in.
