American Flag Pallet

Proudly "fly" this painted and glittered American flag at your Fourth of July BBQ.


    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • sandpaper
    • hot glue gun
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #8 flat brush
    • fan brush
    • wooden pallet
    • wooden stars



    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Using a 3/4" flat brush and alternating True Red and Snow White, basecoat the stripes, leaving an open area on the left for the star section. (See photo for placement.) (Use a #8 flat brush to cover smaller areas such as between cracks and on the sides of the pallet.)

    3. Using a #8 flat brush and True Blue, paint the left section at the top three slats. (Refer to photo for color placement. )

    5. Use a #8 flat brush and Snow White to paint the stars.

    7. Once the paint is dry, lightly sand the pallet to create a distressed look.

    9. Use a fan brush to apply matching colors of Glamour Dust Glitter to the pallet: Sizzling Red for True Red areas; Ice Crystal for Snow White areas; and Sapphire Blue for True Blue areas.

    11. Use a fan brush and Ice Crystal on the stars.

    13. Using a hot glue gun, adhere the stars onto the flag in any desired pattern.
