End the search for missing keys by hanging them on a clever key holder.


    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • sandpaper
    • pencil
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #2 liner brush
    • #5 round brush
    • rectangle wooden sign with beveled edges
    • eight cup hooks
    • clean cloth


    1. Lightly sand the entire wooden sign. Dust the sign off with a cloth and then paint the entire sign with Americana Primer & Sealer using the 3/4" flat brush. Let dry.
    2. Basecoat the entire sign Light Buttermilk with the 3/4" flat brush. Let dry.
    3. Mix Sea Glass and Glazing Medium 1:1. Dry-brush the mixture over the entire sign with the 3/4" flat brush.
    4. Mix Calypso Blue and Light Buttermilk 1:1; then mix with Glazing Medium 1:1. Using the 3/4" flat brush, dry-brush mixture lightly around the edges and a bit on the face. Let dry.
    5. Draw a simple vintage key on the face of the sign with a pencil.
    6. Paint the vintage key in Light Buttermilk using the #5 round brush. Outline with the #2 liner brush using Raw Umber. Let dry.
    7. Spray the entire sign with Americana Matte Spray Finish and let dry.
    8. Screw cup hooks into a straight line across the bottom of the sign.
