Arabian Nights Painted Lantern

This lantern, made with Americana® Acrylics, is perfect for an Arabian nights-themed party or as bohemian themed décor.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- rubbing alcohol
- metal and glass lantern
- paintbrushes
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Remove the glass before painting the lantern.
Wipe down the glass dome with rubbing alcohol before applying the Craft Twinkles.
- Paint the top and bottom sections of the lantern in Sapphire and the arms in Salem Blue. Paint the handles used for carrying or hanging, the "hood" attached to the top, the wiring that goes around the glass dome and the foot that holds it in French Mauve. Paint the knob in the front and the dome at the top that holds the "hood" in Berry Cobbler.
- Transfer the Gold Craft Twinkles over to a bottle with the ultra fine writer tip. Use this to add embellishments to the lantern and glass dome: add lines to the areas that they naturally exist, as well as swirls, paisley shapes, dots, etc. Let dry.
- Once dry, replace the glass dome in its holder.
