Autumn Wood Wreath

Welcome fall visitors with this colorful wreath in Americana Acrylic colors of the season.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- scissors
- #2 round brush
- 3/4" flat brush
- black fine point marker
- low temp-hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Fun Foam sheet
- tracing & transfer paper
- wooden wreath
- papier-mâché flat round
- brown chenille stem, halved
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Use a 3/4" flat brush to base coat wreath Golden Straw and papier-mache round Jack- O'-Lantern Orange.
- Trace and transfer the lettering and leaf designs on the wreath. Trace the leaf designs onto a fun foam sheet. Use the scissors to cut out the foam shapes and set aside.
- Use a #2 round brush and Light Cinnamon to paint the lettering.
- Use the #2 round brush to loosely fill in the leaves with Jack-O'-Lantern Orange, Foliage Green, and Country Red.
- Pick up a small amount of Country Red on the corner of a 3/4" flat brush and paint curved lines on the papier-mache round forming pumpkin sections.
- Use the #2 round brush and Foliage Green to loosely paint leaves at the top of the papier-mache round and the fun foam leaf shapes.
- Seal the wreath and "pumpkin" with DuraClear Satin Varnish, if desired.
- Use one half of a chenille stem to attach the pumpkin to back side of the wreath. Curl the remaining half around a brush handle to form tendril.
- Position and adhere foam leaves and tendril to the pumpkin top.
- Use a permanent marker to outline and add details to all the leaves.
