    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Read all directions first.

Use the largest brush that will fit most comfortably in the area to be painted.

If needed, remove any graphite that may have gotten transferred onto the surface by using a soft white eraser.

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Sand the cigar box down completely to remove any rough sections. After sanding, take a piece of brown paper bag or ultra-fine sandpaper and go over it one extra time to smooth. (If you'd like, a canvas can be used in place of a cigar box.)
    2. Paint the box lid with Vanilla Shake. Repeat, if necessary, to get good, solid coverage.
    3. Instruction #2
    4. Paint the top lid underside with Peach Silk.
    5. Paint the entire bottom of the box inside and out with Pumpkin Patch. Repeat, if necessary, to get good, solid coverage.
    6. Place the provided pattern in the center of the box top and hold in place with painter's tape. Trace and transfer the pattern with a pencil or stylus.
    7. Paint the lion's mane with Pumpkin Patch.
    8. Instruction #6
    9. Paint the lion's face, chest, and paws with Cocoa Bean.
    10. Instruction #7
    11. Paint the flesh part inside the lion's ear using Peach Silk.
    12. Paint the tall green grass at the lion's feet with Leprechaun.
    13. Instruction #9
    14. The lion's eyes, nose, mouth, and stitching details are done using Carbon Black. Let dry and add highlights in eyes and on nose with Cotton Ball. (See photo.)
    15. Instruction #10
    16. Box edging: Measure approximately 3/4" from the edge of the box and tape off with a strip of painter's tape. Using the 3/8" brush, alternate colors as desired, using Peach Silk, Canary, Red Barn, Pumpkin Patch, and Leprechaun.
    17. Instruction #11
    18. Touch up paint, as needed.
