Perfect for the nursery or as a baby shower gift, this pretty glass container can be personalized.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- paper towels
- liner brush
- masking tape
- clear glass vase
- soft bristle brush (No. 2 or a bit longer)
- chopstick or toothpick
INSTRUCTIONS
- Print off the pattern. Tape it to the inside of vase, facing out. Outline the shoes, birds, banner, and flowers using Black with a liner brush. Remove the pattern.
- Using a liner brush, paint the trim on the shoes Red.
- Using a soft bristle No. 2 brush, paint the straps with Pink mixed with a small amount of White. (Lightly spread the paint around using generous amounts.)
- Lightly dot Black with the tip of the liner brush to make buttons at the ends of the straps.
- Mix (1) part Pink with (3) parts White. Using a soft bristle brush, lightly dot the mix into the middle of each flower and spread the paint around using generous amounts. Let dry.
- When the flower middles are dry, fill in the flower petals with Green and a soft bristle brush.
- Mix a very small amount of Black with White to make light grey. Paint the inside of the shoes using a soft bristle brush. Let dry.
- When paint is dry, decorate the shoes using Purple or a color of choice. (I used a chopstick to paint dots.)
- Paint the birds with a soft bristle brush using Blue mixed with White. Paint the bellies of the birds with Yellow. Paint the beaks of the birds with Yellow mixed with a small amount of Orange.
- Fill in the banner between the birds with Purple and let dry. If desired, personalize the container by filling in the baby's name with Black on a liner brush.
