Organize and store those important school supplies in lots of bright Americana® Acrylic color.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • pencil
    • #2 round brush
    • #6 flat brush
    • 2" foam brush
    • wooden crate

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Remove the product label from the crate. Take the drawers out and paint the whole crate Primary Red using the 2" foam brush. (Leave the insides and the fronts of drawers unpainted.)
    2. Rinse the foam brush and use it to paint the insides and fronts of the drawers Lamp Black.
    3. Use a pencil and the tracing & transfer papers to trace and transfer the designs on the drawers.
    4. DRAWER 1, PENCILS: Use the #6 flat brush to paint the pencils Cadmium Yellow.
    5. Use the same brush to paint the erasers Melon.
    6. Use the #2 round brush to paint the pencil wood and outline the lead with Sand.
    7. Use the same brush to paint the metal band Slate Grey.
    8. Outline the lines in the pencils with Lamp Black.
    9. DRAWER 2, SCISSORS: Use the #6 flat brush to paint the handles True Blue.
    10. Use the same brush to paint the blades Slate Grey.
    11. Use the #2 round brush to outline the blades in Lamp Black.
    12. DRAWER 3, GLUE: Use the #6 flat brush to paint the glue bottle, Warm White; the lids, triangles, and rectangles, Bright Orange; and the big rectangle, True Blue.
    13. Use the #2 round brush and Warm White to paint the word "Glue" in the True Blue rectangle.
    14. Use the same brush to add Lamp Black lines to the lid.
