INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Lightly sand the MDF to remove any blemishes.
- Paint the sides and top of the MDF board using Poodleskirt Pink. If needed, apply another coat once the first has dried.
- Cut out the provided stencils using the Silhouette electronic cutting machine and vinyl.
- Apply the vinyl stencil for "mine" in the lower half of the board.
- Paint "mine" using Glorious Gold with a cosmetic sponge.
- Remove the stencil and let dry.
- Apply the stencil for "be" above "mine", aligning the "b" and "m".
- Paint "be" using Bubblegum Pink.
- Remove the stencil and let dry.
- Apply the vinyl heart.
- Begin nailing nails down around the heart, making sure to space evenly. (These are spaced about 1/3" from each other.)
- Continue until you have gone around the entire heart. Remove the vinyl heart.
- Tie twine around the nail at the top middle of the heart. Face the end of the string inward.
- Wrap the string around each nail, going back and forth at random. Continue until you get the look you want.
- Finish the heart by going on the outside of each nail and making a loop around each nail head to create a border around the heart.
- Tie off the end of the string using another string in the middle of the heart. Tuck the loose string end underneath the other strings.
- Hand-paint "be" using Sparkling Pink. Apply a generous amount to the brush and spread the Sparkling Pink until the desired glitter distribution is achieved.
- Hand-paint "mine" using Gold. Let dry completely.
- To hang, attach a saw-tooth hanger on the top of the back.
