    4. Instruction #3
    5. Very lightly transfer the pattern details. Using a stencil brush, dry-brush the cheeks on the gingerbread figure and the snowman with Country Red. Using a #2 round brush, paint their noses with Country Red stripes. Paint the gingerbread figure's icing with Bleached Sand.
    6. Thin Evergreen to add the vine and pine needles on the snowman's head with a #2 round brush. Dot the snowman's scarf with Reindeer Moss Green. Let dry. Paint the eyes, lashes, mouths, and the gingerbread figure's bow with Lamp Black, thinning Lamp Black with water for the lashes, mouths, and bow.
    7. Using Dark Chocolate, shade the edges of the gingerbread figure and snowman with a #2 round brush. Shade the gingerbread figure's icing and just underneath it. Shade the snowman's nose and add a soft shadow above and below the snowman's vine. Shade along the bottom edge of the gingerbread figure's nose and the base of the snowman's nose with Deep Burgundy.
    8. Using a #2 round brush, shade the snowman's scarf with Evergreen. Using a stencil brush, lightly stipple or tap Bleached Sand around the edges of the snowman. (Avoid the snowman's eyes, nose, mouth, vine, and scarf.)
    9. Using a #2 round brush with Bleached Sand, highlight the bottoms of eyes and the top of gingerbread figure's nose. Also float a highlight across the center of the snowman's nose. Dot the snowman's eyes and background snowflakes with Bleached Sand. Dot Country Red berries on the vine.
    10. Instruction #8
    11. Spray several light coats of Americana Matte Spray Finish on the ornament's front, back, and sides. (Let each area dry before continuing.)
    12. Drill a hole where indicated on the pattern. Cut a 6" piece of wire. Curl one end of the wire into a spiral. Thread the other end of the wire through the front of the hole; pull the wire tight to the back, so that the curled end fits up against the front of the ornament. Bend the remaining wire up and curl end to create hook to use as a hanger.
