INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Paint the wooden slats of the shadow box with White Gesso.
- Paint a slat each in Pink Tropics and Inch Worm, and two slats in Waterfront. (See photo for color placement.)
- Apply a layer of Americana Matte Decou-Page to the surface of the flower template to help strengthen it. Use a craft knife to cut out the shapes.
- Position the stencil on the box. Use a palette knife to apply Dimensional Effects to fill in the spaces of the stencil you just created. Allow this to dry completely.
- Choose alphabet letters to spell a word of your choice. (We used "Bloom".) Use Decou-Page to adhere the letters together. Once dry, apply a layer of White Gesso using a 1/4" flat brush.
- Use a soft brush (one for each color) to apply Majestic Purple, Lavish Green, and Brilliant Turquoise to the lettering. Apply these colors randomly. Once dry, rub a soft clean cloth on the lettering in circles, buffing it to a shine.
- Once Dimensional Effects is dry, repeat the previous step on texture.
- Adhere letters onto surface using E6000 Glue. Once dry, use a permanent marker to add additional details to surface as desired.
