Stand out from the crowd with this homemade tiki necklace painted with Americana® Acrylics.

    • toothpicks
    • #1 liner brush
    • Styrofoam
    • black fine-point permanent marker
    • fashionable necklace cording
    • wooden beads
    • pendant
    • pencil

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Draw the desired design on the wooden pendant with pencil. (You can use photo below as a guide or look up tiki faces online.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Fill in each space of the tiki face with color using Bluegrass Green, Ocean Blue, Carousel Pink, Bright Orange, Cadmium Yellow, Snow White, and Burnt Umber. (See photos for placement.)
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Continue to add color using a liner brush. If needed, add a second layer of paint after the first one has dried.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Paint the wooden beads with the same colors used on the tiki face. (I placed four wooden beads on a toothpick to make painting easier. I placed the toothpicks in a block of Styrofoam to let the paint dry.)
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Use a fine tip permanent marker to trace the sections on the tiki mask.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Use thin cord to string the beads and pendant together to create a necklace.
