Bright DIY Outdoor Catch-All

A wall rack makes a bright outdoor catch-all when painted with Patio Paint Outdoor™.


    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • sandpaper
    • painter's tape
    • screws
    • E6000 Glue
    • paneled wooden signboard
    • hanging hooks
    • paintbrushes
    • ruler or measuring tape
    • large wooden plank
    • wooden corbels


    1. Measure the length of the wooden paneled sign and purchase a wooden plank that measures the same length or 1" longer. Also purchase two wooden corbels to fit the plank and sign. (See photo.) Sand down all of these surfaces.

    3. Count the panels on the paneled sign and divide by 10 colors. Paint them in the following order: Fuchsia, Hydrangea Blue, Carnation Pink, Deep Buttercup, Larkspur Blue, Sweet Pea, Petunia Purple, Blue Bahama, Salmon, and Desert Turquoise.

    5. Paint the wooden corbels and the long plank in Robin's Egg Blue.

    7. Adhere the wooden corbels to each top edge of the sign using E6000 Glue or by drilling them in, if you so choose.

    9. Once adhered and/or dry, turn the entire piece upside down and adhere the long wooden plant to the top of the wooden sign, using E6000 Glue or a drill. Secure with painter's tape while allowing to dry.

    11. Use painter's tape to mark off where you want the hooks to go and measure them across evenly, securing them in the spot desired with another strip of painter's tape.

    13. Drill in the hooks and hang the piece outdoors.
