Bubblegum chair redo

Bubblegum chair redo

I usually gravitate toward neutral colors when I refinish furniture, but every now and then I like to have fun with a bright pop of color, especially when I finish pieces for kids! I came across a mid-century vintage chair recently that I wanted to finish for a little girls room, so I decided to upholster it in a bright floral print and finish it in Deco Art's Satin Flamingo paint.

Items Needed:

  • Paint Brush
  • Water Basin

Instructions:

The chair started out in a dull & boring shade of gray. Before painting, I gave the chair a light sanding to ruff up the surface.

Next, I applied a coat of Deco Art's Satin paint in Flamingo.  This paint has an incredible iridescent shine to it, which is exactly the look I was going for with this bright color.

I applied three coats of paint to the chair, waiting 2 hours in between each coat.  The end result was an absolutely beautiful bright & silky finish...perfect for a bright pop of color in and space!
