Cheese Cloche turned Home Decor

Decorating my home with thrift store finds is one thing I absolutely love to do!  I love to save money,  love to breathe life into second hand items and I love to create one of a kind decor pieces for my home! Recently I found this cheese cloche at my local thrift store and gave the stained wood a stylish  black and white Chalky Finish Paint makeover!

Recently I found this cheese cloche at my local thrift store and gave the stained wood a stylish  black and white Chalky Finish Paint makeover!

Instruction Image #1

Remove the glass dome and set aside.

Give the wooden base 2 coats of Chalky Finish paint in 'Everlasting' with a 1 inch flat artist's brush. Let dry completely between coats.

Paint the middle of the cloche with a band of Relic Chalky Finish Paint. Let dry completely.

Add glass dome back on top.

I love how this cloche turned out!  I added a boxwood sphere under the glass dome for a pop of gorgeous green!

There are so many places in my home that I can display this painted cloche: On a side table, on a bedroom dresser, in my kitchen, my office, as a dining table centerpiece or on a holiday buffet table!
