Create this DIY cafe for home or office with DecoArt® Glass Paint™.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • stylus or pencil
    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • sandpaper
    • 1" painter's tape
    • black permanent marker
    • white ceramic mug
    • cosmetic foam wedge
    • cup hooks
    • rubber bands
    • 1" angled brush
    • wood filler
    • rubbing alcohol
    • #2 round glass paintbrush
    • thumbtacks
    • half crate-Michaels
    • small planter boxes
    • repurposed spice jars
    • manila tags
    • 3/4" flat brush

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    If desired, fill the nail or staple holes with wood filler and sand before painting the crate. Wash mugs in warm soapy water, rinse and dry well or wipe with rubbing alcohol before painting.

    1. Use a 1" brush and Everlasting to paint the crate inside and out.

    3. Position and adhere painter's tape around the top sections of the planter boxes. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint one box Cactus Flower and the other Jadeite Glass.

    5. Position a rubber band at an angle on each mug. Use a cosmetic wedge to lightly tap Coral on the bottom section of one mug and Mint on the other mug.

    7. Remove the rubber bands. Use a #2 round glass paintbrush to paint a Coral band on the Mint mug and a Mint band on the Coral mug.

    9. Trace and transfer the lettering onto the mugs and jar.

    11. Use Black Glass Paint Marker to paint the words. Follow the curing and baking times on the marker label.

    13. Use a permanent black marker to write words of choice on the tags. Position the tags on the planter front and secure with thumbtacks.
    14. Screw the cup hooks into the crate. Assemble all.
