Cookie Container with Mushroom Topper

Simply add scrapbook paper, a topper, and wooden cutouts onto a container to create a new look.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- scissors
- pencil
- 1" flat brush
- cardboard
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- assorted scrapbook paper
- embellishments of choice
- jute
- container
- wooden cutouts
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Trace the container's plastic lid onto a piece of cardboard. Cut out and glue to the lid.
- Apply two coats of Cocoa Bean to the cardboard. Allow paint to dry completely between coats.
- Use a glue gun to apply the jute around the plastic lid. Adhere the mushroom topper onto the lid.
- Using a 1" flat brush, apply two coats of Cactus to the entire container. Allow to dry completely between coats.
- Cut out strips of scrapbook paper. Apply Americana Matte Decou-Page onto the area where the scrapbook paper will be placed. Position the scrapbook paper and smooth out with finger. Apply another coat of Decou-Page onto the scrapbook paper.
- Add jute to the sides of the scrapbook paper with a hot glue gun.
- Apply two coats of each Red Barn, Soft Jade, and Cocoa Bean to each of the wooden deer cutouts. Glue the wooden cutouts together with glue gun.
- Apply hot glue to the back of the wooden cutouts and attach jute. Tie around the can.
