Cute-'n-Creepy Spider Cider Jar

A simple jar takes on spooky overtones with Americana® Gloss Enamels™.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- stylus or pencil
- rubbing alcohol
- liner brush
- cosmetic sponge
- smooth quart-sized Ball® jar
- low-tack painter's tape
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Clean the jar with rubbing alcohol and let dry before painting.
- Use low-tack painter's tape to mask off the label area.
- Use a cosmetic sponge to pounce Sand inside the masked-off area. Repeat for opaque coverage.
- Using the same sponge, load a small amount of Dark Chocolate and pounce on the palette or plastic plate to soften the color. Lightly pounce the color around the edges of the label.
- Carefully remove the tape immediately.
- Trace and transfer the lettering by taping the pattern inside the jar.
- Use a liner brush and Black to do the lettering, label edges, webs, and spiders.
- Use a liner brush and Tuscan Red to paint the hourglass on the top spider.
