    • rubbing alcohol
    • pencil
    • computer paper
    • pliers
    • round brush
    • earrings

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Clean the brass blanks using rubbing alcohol to remove any dust or oils.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Trace the blanks onto paper and cut out to create templates. Try out some ideas with your paints to see what you like best. (This step is optional but really helps you see how your finished earrings will look.)
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Paint the front and back of the brass blanks in Teal. Dab the paint in various spots to give the earring blanks a texturized look.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Using your painted template as a guide, apply free-form spots of Rose Gold to the front of all earring blanks using the tip of your small paintbrush. The square frames should have the same pattern, and the long tags should match each other as well.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Seal the front and back of the earring blanks with two coats of Gloss Varnish.
    10. Use chain nose pliers to open the loops on the French ear wires. Add the painted tags first, followed by the painted square frames. Twist the loops back in place to close.
