Decoupaged Thanksgiving Serving Tray

Serve coffee to guests after your Thanksgiving meal with a decoupaged serving tray made from a shadow box.

SUPPLIES

    • paper towels
    • sandpaper
    • scissors
    • ruler
    • pencil
    • 1" flat brush
    • drill and small drill bit
    • E6000 Glue
    • shadow box
    • wooden shapes

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Sand the shadow box to remove any rough edges. Wipe clean with a damp paper towel to remove any sanding dust.

    3. Paint the outside and bottom of the box with Cotton Ball. Paint the bottom edge and between the slats with Bittersweet. Paint the inside of the box in Yellow Gold (Metallic). (Not reflected in photo.)

    5. Measure and cut the arrow paper from Americana Decou-Page Gold Stag Paper to fit the sides of the box. Apply a layer of Outdoor Decou-Page to the side; position the cut paper; and apply another layer of Decou-Page on top. Remove any wrinkles with a finger. Repeat until all four sides are covered.

    7. Measure and cut the triangle paper from same Decou-Page Paper pack to fit the bottom slats of the box. Repeat the decoupaging process until the bottom is covered.

    9. Mark and drill holes for the handles as desired. Attach according to packaging instructions. Paint the wooden feet in Yellow Gold (Metallic) and attach to the bottom of the box using E6000 Glue.
