Distressed Fall Frame

Paint and distress a wooden frame to add a rustic look to a treasured photo.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- 3/4" flat brush
- fine-grit sandpaper
- wooden frame
- alphabet and number stencil
- sponge pouncer
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Basecoat the frame using a 3/4" flat brush and Lamp Black.
- Use the 3/4" flat brush and Saffron Yellow to paint a light second layer on top of the Lamp Black.
- Use a dry 3/4" flat brush and Jack-O'-Lantern Orange to lightly sweep paint over the frame.
- Place the stencil on the bottom of the frame to spell out desired phrase. Use a stencil brush to pounce Lamp Black onto the frame. Let dry.
- Use sandpaper to rough up frame. (Sand a little more on the edges.) Be careful not to over-sand.
