Update an ordinary kitchen canister set into a modern distressed look using Americana Decor® Texture™.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• rubbing alcohol
• palette knife
• paintbrushes
• ceramic canisters

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Wipe the canisters clean with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel. Let dry.

2. Paint the canisters in Vintage. Allow to dry and apply a second coat.

3. Load a palette knife with Copper (Metallic) and lightly drag from the bottom of the canister to about 1/3 to 2/3 of the way up. (Allow for streaks and stray marks to accentuate the vintage look.) Complete this technique all the way around each canister.

4. Allow the canisters to dry completely.
