Make this fun DIY beach decor to add a coastal vibe to any room. Seas the day and put your own personal touch on a fun custom beach sign!

SUPPLIES

• Coastal Colors Acrylic Paint Set (BD12AMCC)
• Basecoat Set (DABK39-K)

• paper towels
• craft glue
• seashells
• rope
• fine sand paper
• round wood sign
• easy release painter's tape

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Seas the day with DecoArt's Coastal Colors acrylic paint set and try your hand at making your own custom beach sign! Gather your paint, supplies and seashells . Begin by lightly sanding the board. Wipe clean with a cloth.

2. Use the large flat brush to paint the top of the board "the sky" in Baby Blue. Use the large flat brush to paint the sea line in True Blue.

3. Immediately (while the paint is still wet) use the large flat brush and long, horizontal strokes to continue painting the sea in Teal Mint. Rinse brush and loading Pebble and Desert Sand simultaneously, add horizontal strokes moving from the very bottom, upwards. Then load brush with Bahama Blue and continue painting upwards, blending the colors as you go. Once dry, repeat the process to apply a second coat of all colors, creating a blended seaside effect.

4. Position the "Seas the day" pattern and tape in place. Slip transfer paper under the pattern and trace design using a pen or pencil. Using Titanium White and a small, round brush, paint the words "Seas the day". Let dry and apply a second coat.

5. Cut rope to desired length and glue to the back of the board. Let dry.

6. Arrange seashells on the board. Move them around until you are happy with the placement. Once positioned, glue them on, one at a time to to the board and leave flat to dry.
