    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Cut a 1" x 4" board into 3-1/2" blocks using a table saw. (The size and quantity of the blocks will also depend on the photo size you choose. If you are unable to cut the pieces, find wood pieces and adjust the size of the image accordingly.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Paint one coat of Red Barn on all sides of the wooden squares. Let dry.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. After the paint has dried, use sandpaper to distress the blocks.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. If needed, trim the laserjet image down to a 10-1/2" square to match the puzzle size.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Cut the entire picture into (9) 3-1/2" squares with a paper trimmer. (Be careful and measure accurately.)
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Test each image to make sure it fits the square properly. Apply a coat of Americana Matte Decou-Page onto the square with a 1" foam brush. Position the image and apply another coat of Decou-Page on top. To remove any wrinkles or bubbles, carefully press with fingers.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Be sure to go over the edges of the image to create a good seal. Brush in all different directions to help give the image a canvas look.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Wait until the photo pieces are completely dry before using.
