DIY Garden Art Plant Waterer

Give those plants a drink even when you're away with this handy and colorful plant waterer.

SUPPLIES

    • paper towels
    • rubbing alcohol
    • scissors
    • pencil
    • flat brush
    • computer paper
    • wine bottle

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Remove any labels from the wine bottle. Clean with a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol.
    2. Make your own pattern by using an actual flower and leaf from a plant. Trace onto computer paper and cut them out. Or use the provided Black Eyed Climbing Susan pattern.

    4. Trace around the flower and leaf patterns using a Black Glass Marker. Draw lines for the vines between the flowers.

    6. Paint in the shapes using Orange Sherbet for the flowers and Turf Green for the foliage.

    8. Trace around the shapes again to get a clean line.

    10. Let the bottle surface air-dry for seven days. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Once 30 minutes is done, turn off the oven and crack the door to cool completely.
