    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Start with a plain basket and papier-mâchè eggs.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a #12 flat brush to mix Cotton Ball 1:1 with each of these colors separately: Lavender Fields, Pink Cadillac, Orange Sherbet, Coastal Waters, Chick, and Melonball. Rinse brush between colors and at the end.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. For pink eggs: spray shaving cream onto the baking sheet and smooth it with the squeegee.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Pour out three contrasting colors. ( I used Chick, Iris, and Flamingo.)
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Use a toothpick to swirl the colors to look marbled. (Don't swirl too much; you do not want them to become muddy.)
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Roll the egg across the paint, making sure you cover the egg completely.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Immediately use a palette knife to scrape off shaving cream, leaving just the paint on the eggs. Wash and dry the baking sheet and palette knife.
    14. On blue eggs, I used Peach Silk, Deep Turquoise, and Chick.
    15. Instruction #8
    16. Pour out the three colors and lightly swirl with a toothpick.
    17. Instruction #9
    18. Roll eggs around and make sure they are fully covered. Scrap off the shaving cream with a palette knife, leaving paint on the egg. Wash and dry cookie sheet and palette knife.
    19. Instruction #10
    20. For purple eggs, I used Iris, Coastal Waters, and Battleship. Spray the shaving cream onto the baking sheet and smooth it out with a squeegee.
    21. Instruction #11
    22. Pour out the three colors and lightly swirl with a toothpick.
    23. Instruction #12
    24. Roll an egg around in the shaving cream and then immediately scrape off with a palette knife, leaving just the paint on the egg. Wash and dry the baking sheet and palette knife.
    25. Instruction #13
    26. Repeat the marbling steps (3-7) on the yellow egg using: Poppy, Soft Jade, and Overcast.
    27. Instruction #14
    28. Roll the egg in shaving cream and immediately scrape off with a palette knife. Wash and dry the baking sheet and palette knife.
    29. Instruction #15
    30. Repeat the marbling steps (3-7) on the green egg using: Deep Turquoise, Muted Gold, and Overcast. Wash and dry the baking sheet and palette knife.
    31. Instruction #16
    32. Repeat the marbling steps (3-7) on the orange egg using: Peach Silk, Shrimp, and Soft Jade. Wash and dry the baking sheet and palette knife.
    33. Instruction #17
    34. Once all eggs are marbled, let them dry off to the side.
    35. Instruction #18
    36. Use a 3/4" flat brush and Chick to paint the center section of the basket. Rinse brush.
    37. Instruction #19
    38. Use the same brush and Melonball to paint the top rim, bottom rim, and rim around the frame. Rinse brush.
    39. Instruction #20
    40. Use the same brush and Coastal Waters to paint the inside frame and handle. Rinse brush.
    41. Instruction #21
    42. Freehand draw a name on the front of the basket, or print a name on the computer then use a stylus and transfer paper to transfer the name to the frame of the basket.
    43. Use a #1 round brush and Iris to paint on the name. Rinse brush. Use a #1 liner brush and Eggplant to paint shading behind the name. Rinse brush.
    44. Instruction #23
    45. Once dry, fill with the basket with Easter grass and add the eggs. (If you do not have Easter grass, you can run green cardstock through a paper shredder.)
