Hand painted decorative pillow with SoSoft Fabric Acrylic Fabric Medium
SUPPLIES
INSTRUCTIONS
- This project will work with any plain white fabric pillow (or pillow cover)!
- Blend some of the Peacock Teal Fabric Acrylic with the Fabric Medium using a flat brush. Dip your brush into each and lightly mix on the your palette.
- Begin painting onto the surface of the pillow using loose broad strokes. Working in sections.
- Begin adding some Lavender Fabric Acrylic into your Fabric Medium and paint into some of the white areas. (TIP: Add some color onto the pillow in areas by painting on the Fabric Medium first and adding the fabric paint into the wet area for a different look.)
- If one area gets too opaque with color, simply dab off some of the paint with a paper towel. (TIP: this adds a cool texture as well if you want to leave it, if not- add some Fabric Medium to your brush and paint over area to blend.)
- Add some dimension with third darker color, Mediterranean Blue Fabric paint in some areas.
- Paint one entire side allow to dry and paint the opposite side the same way.
- Print and cut out provided template.
- Using the seem as a guide, place the template in the center of the edge of the pillow.
- Trace on the template lightly with a pencil.
- Paint on Gold SoSoft Fabric Metallics into the geometric shape using a flat brush. Allow to dry and apply a second coat.
