Fall 2014 Color Trends
Posted by DecoArt on Aug 24th 2014
With autumn just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about the top color trends for fall here at DecoArt.
This fall, we will see some of the summer color trends with neutrals and metallic carry through, but be incorporated with luxurious, deep berry tones.
Gorgeous acrylic paint color combinations for your home décor and craft projects are:
Red Violet, Soft Heather, Light Mocha
Cranberry Wine, Slate Grey, Snow White
Crimson Tide, Blue Mist, Dove Grey
Payne’s Grey, Antique Mauve, Oyster Beige
Keep in mind that compositionally, odd numbered groupings will give you the most balance and that rings true for your color selections as well. Choose two solids; one light and one dark, then toss in a neutral or metallic for balance.
Some suggestions for Dazzling Metallics to use in your fall projects are Black Pearl, Champagne Gold, Mink Pearl and White Pearl. Using metallics in your home décor and craft projects adds a lovely sense of luxury, which is a very popular trend this Fall. We will be seeing lots of Renaissance inspired fabrics, primarily brocade and tapestries, so think about subtle ways to incorporate this feeling of opulence into your home décor.
