Use DecoArt's new Chalky Medium with paint colors to create a fall-inspired wall décor.

    • scissors
    • pencil
    • flat brush
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • oval wooden plaque
    • floral pick
    • E6000 Glue
    • round brush
    • papier mâché shape

Mix all paint with Chalk Finish Medium according to label instructions.

    1. Using a flat brush, paint the deer head in a light tan color (I used Oyster Beige.) Paint the antlers in Splendid Gold. (Use a small brush to get into the tight spaces.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a pencil to sketch the desired tribal design. (Refer to the photo below if you would like when sketching.) With a small round brush, paint the tribal design in favorite colors. (I used Splendid Gold, Antique Maroon, Burnt Orange, and Antique Gold.)
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Cut apart the floral pick as needed. With a hot glue gun, adhere the flowers onto the crown of the head until you are satisfied. (Remember to look at the deer head the way it will be hanging on the wall; the floral could look different depending on the angle.)
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Paint an oval plaque in Antique Maroon. Let dry. Once dry, use E6000 Glue to adhere the deer head to the center of the plaque. (Be sure to follow label instructions to ensure proper adhesion).
