Farmhouse Wall Planter

This DIY farmhoue wall planter is simple to make using Designer Finishes Salt Wash Farmhouse kit and a few easy-to-find materials.

SUPPLIES

    • Mason jars
    • wood glue
    • drill and small drill bit
    • wooden pallet
    • measuring tape
    • pencil
    • 1" paintbrush
    • hose clamps
    • single hole D-ring hangers

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Keep the jar lids but remove the sealing discs.

    1. Gather the supplies.

    3. For the basecoat, paint the surface of the pallet in Grey Sky.

    5. Leave the paint to dry fully.

    7. Mix 1 (part) Grey Sky with (1) part Texture Sand Paste. Brush onto the surface leaving parts of the basecoat showing. Leave the paint to dry fully.

    9. Load the brush with Vintage Effect Grey and lightly brush in random areas. Leave the paint to dry fully.

    11. Load the brush with Vintage Effect White and lightly brush in random areas. Leave the paint to dry fully.

    13. Attach d-ring hangers to the back side of the pallet (one d-ring on each side).

    15. Measure and mark location to attach the Mason jars. Mark the center and then measure 3” away from both sides.

    17. Use a drill with a small drill bit to drill pilot holes where marked.

    19. Once predrilled, add wood glue to the hole and position one hose clamp onto the pallet aligning with the predrilled holes. Screw the hose clamp in place.

    21. Place the neck of the jar (with lid) within the hose clamp and tighten around the neck of the jar until secure.

    23. Work from left to right with clamp tightener facing towards the right for all three clamps.

    25. Repeat for the remaining jars.

    27. Hang on the wall and fill with fresh or faux flowers to enjoy.
