SUPPLIES

    • paper towels
    • craft sticks
    • protective surface for painting
    • ceramic cacti vase
    • disposable gloves
    • disposable cups
    • rubbing alcohol

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Find a ceramic cactus container, cup, or sculpture. (TIP: Any glazed ceramic piece would work for this project.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Wipe down the surface with rubbing alcohol to remove any oil or dirt.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Prep the table's surface to protect against the dripping paint. You can put down freezer paper or pour over a reusable surface like the plastic tub and grates. (See photo.) (TIP: A plastic tub is ideal for paint pouring because when it dries, you can peel up the paint skins to use in other projects.)
    6. Instruction #3
    7. In a small disposable cup (or cut-up plastic egg crate), pour some of each color of Dazzling Metallics: Teal, Amethyst, Shimmering Silver, and Crystal Green. Add an equal amount of Pouring Medium to each cup. Mix with a wooden craft stick. (TIP: Use a clean stick for each color.)
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Start pouring each color around the surface of the cactus.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Continue pouring until you have mostly covered the surface. Pick up the cactus and move around to swirl the paints to create an interesting design. Once achieved, set it down and allow to dry.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Use this piece to hold pencils or brushes.
