Fluid Art l Paint Pour Monster Eye

Create this "monstrous" canvas with DecoArt® Fluid Art Ready to Pour™

SUPPLIES

    • small liner brush
    • palette knife
    • paper plate
    • medium flat brush
    • canvas
    • colored pencil

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Pour various-sized rings onto the canvas surface using White.

    3. Smooth out the circles and fill gaps with a palette knife.

    5. Pour a puddle of Fuchsia onto a paper plate; dip a cleaned palette knife tip into the paint.

    7. Drag the palette knife tip from the edge of the white ring toward the center.

    9. This creates a vein effect in the monster's eyes.

    11. Pour Chartreuse into the center of some of the eyes.

    13. Add drops of Vivid Orange on top of the Chartreuse circles.

    15. With a cleaned palette knife, swirl colors together to create the iris of the eye.

    17. Add Jet Black into the center of the eye for the pupil.

    19. Continue the processes of creating eyes using variations of the colors True Red, Dark Aquamarine, Lavender, and Bright Yellow. Allow to dry completely.

    21. With a medium flat brush, paint the background around the eyes with Lamp Black. Allow to dry.

    23. Once dry, paint on an additional coat of Lamp Black if needed for even coverage.

    25. With a small liner brush, paint around the eyes with Fuchsia.

    27. Dip the handle end of a paintbrush into White and dab onto pupils of eyes. Allow to dry.

    29. Draw on webs between the eyeballs with a white colored pencil.

    31. Using a small liner brush, paint over sketch the web strands with Gold.

    33. Add more webbing until the desired look is achieved.

    35. Using the spider pattern provided, draw on a spider and paint with Gold.
